Apple 3G iPhone Announced

3g-iPhone-black 3g-iPhone-white
Apple today finally announce the new 3G iPhone at WWDC 2008, which will go on sale the 11th July in the UK. The new iPhone will be available in the UK in 8GB and 16GB versions, and either Black or White. Apple announced that the starting price worldwide will be $199 USD, but as we know the UK tends to pay more for its technology, but that said with current exchange rates and UK VAT, and with Apple's commitment to price, then we should see the 8GB version for about £150.00 GBP.

Over the next 24/48hrs I will be looking at the 3G iPhone speck and weighing up the pro's and con's (if there are any) and posting my comments on whether it is worth upgrading from the 1st Gen iPhone, or waiting for the 3rd Gen iPhone.

MobileMe

mobileme_box
MobileMe, the Internet service from Apple, automatically pushes new email, contacts, and calendar events to your Mac or PC and over the air to your iPhone and iPod touch. So no matter where you are, your devices are always up to date. You also get easy photo sharing, 20GB of online storage, and more.

This new replacement service for .mac will be available in the UK from July priced at £59.00 for a single user, and £89.00 for a family license, which for what you get in my opinion is good value.

You can pre-order MobileMe today from here.
